Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef can substitute with ground turkey or chicken
  • 2 tbsp Taco seasoning use homemade for a personalized touch
  • 1 medium Onion diced, can use red onion for sharper flavor
For the Salad Base
  • 4 cups Romaine lettuce can substitute with spinach
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes halved, can substitute with diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup Corn canned, frozen, or fresh
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 medium Avocado can replace with guacamole
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt Greek yogurt is a healthier alternative

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef. Cook it for about 5-7 minutes until it's browned and crumbled, stirring occasionally for even cooking.
  2. Sprinkle in your favorite taco seasoning, along with a splash of water. Stir well and let it simmer for another 3-5 minutes until the flavors meld together beautifully.
  3. While the beef cooks, chop up fresh ingredients like lettuce, tomatoes, and bell peppers.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl or platter, layer the shredded lettuce as the base. Top it with your cooked ground beef mixture.
  2. Sprinkle diced tomatoes, chopped onions, and jalape?os over the beef. Add shredded cheese and crumbled tortilla chips for that satisfying crunch!
  3. Drizzle your favorite ranch or salsa dressing over the top.
