Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350?F (175?C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in strawberries.

Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set. Cool briefly on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding white chocolate chips or nuts.

If using frozen strawberries, thaw and drain excess moisture before adding.
