Description

Firecracker Shrimp is a mouthwatering and spicy seafood delight that promises to elevate any meal. This dish features crispy shrimp coated in a crunchy batter, perfectly complemented by a zesty sauce that balances sweet and heat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  2. Set up a breading station with seasoned flour, beaten eggs, and panko mixed with cornstarch.
  3. Dip each shrimp in flour, then eggs, followed by panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the shrimp in hot vegetable oil (about 350?F) until golden brown on both sides (about 2 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  5. In a saucepan, combine Sriracha, honey, and soy sauce; heat until smooth.
  6. Toss fried shrimp in the sauce until evenly coated before serving.

Notes

For less spiciness, reduce the amount of Sriracha or substitute with milder sauces.

Serve immediately for optimal crispness; pair with rice or salad for a complete meal.

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the dish for extra flavor.
