Description

Snowball cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion, combining simple ingredients to create a melt-in-your-mouth delight that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar (plus extra for coating)
  • 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) finely chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350?F (175?C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  3. 3. Add vanilla and gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined.
  4. 4. If using nuts, fold them into the dough.
  5. 5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls; place on baking sheets two inches apart.
  6. 6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden at the bottom. Cool slightly before rolling in powdered sugar.

Notes

For variations, consider adding chocolate chips or spices like cinnamon.

Chill the dough for easier handling if it feels too soft.

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
