Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350?F (175?C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
- 3. Add vanilla and gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined.
- 4. If using nuts, fold them into the dough.
- 5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls; place on baking sheets two inches apart.
- 6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden at the bottom. Cool slightly before rolling in powdered sugar.
