Description

One Pot Unstuffed Shells is a delightful, hearty dish that brings the comforting flavors of traditional stuffed shells to your dinner table with minimal effort. This one-pot wonder combines large pasta shells, savory ground meat, and rich marinara sauce, all topped with creamy ricotta and melty mozzarella for an irresistible meal. Perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings, this recipe ensures you’ll enjoy a satisfying dinner without hours spent in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale

12 ounces large pasta shells

1 pound ground beef, turkey, or chicken

24 ounces marinara sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

? cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cups fresh spinach or kale

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Saut? your choice of ground meat in a large pot over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper.

Add chopped spinach or kale and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove excess liquid.

Stir in marinara sauce and water/broth, then add uncooked pasta shells, ensuring they’re submerged.

Cover and simmer on low for 15-20 minutes until shells are tender and most liquid is absorbed.

Top with dollops of ricotta and shredded mozzarella; cover briefly to melt cheese before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize your protein choice or incorporate seasonal vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for added nutrition.

For a spicier twist, add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
