- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350?F (175?C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart. Optionally sprinkle with festive sprinkles.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
