- 8 cups stale bread cubes (sourdough or French)
- 1 cup chopped roasted chestnuts
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh sage, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350?F (175?C).
- 2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add diced onion and celery; saut? for about 5 minutes until softened.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine stale bread cubes with saut?ed vegetables and chestnuts.
- 4. Stir in fresh herbs and slowly add chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
