- 10 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350?F (175?C).
- Place cubed day-old bread in a large bowl. If it's too soft, dry it out lightly in the oven.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and saut? onion and celery until softened (about 5 minutes). Add garlic and saut? for another minute.
- Pour the saut?ed mixture over bread cubes. Gradually add chicken broth until well-moistened but not soggy. Stir gently.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and fold them into the stuffing mixture.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
