Description

Swedish meatballs with frozen meatballs offer a quick and comforting meal that brings the flavors of home to your dinner table. This recipe features juicy, tender meatballs enveloped in a creamy sauce, perfect for serving over pasta or mashed potatoes. In just a few simple steps, you can create a dish that warms the heart and satisfies the palate, making it ideal for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (24 oz) frozen meatballs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350?F (175?C). Arrange the frozen meatballs in a baking dish and bake them according to package instructions until heated through and slightly browned (about 20-25 minutes).
  2. In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for about one minute until golden brown.
  3. Gradually add beef broth while whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Stir in heavy cream, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  4. Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the sauce and let them simmer for five minutes to absorb flavors.
  5. Serve over pasta or rice with extra sauce on top. Garnish with parsley if desired.
