Description

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (17.3 oz) puff pastry sheets (2 sheets), thawed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400?F (200?C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar and flour; add vanilla extract and toss until coated.
  3. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares approximately 6 inches wide.
  4. Place a spoonful of strawberry filling on one half of each pastry square; fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  5. Beat the egg with water; brush the tops of each turnover for a golden finish.
  6. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet; bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
