Description

Smoked Jalape?o Poppers are the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer that combines smoky, spicy jalape?os with a rich, creamy filling. These bite-sized treats are perfect for any occasion?from game day to backyard barbecues.


Ingredients

  • 12 fresh jalape?os
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy bacon bits
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225?F (107?C). If using an oven, set it to the same temperature.
  2. Slice each jalape?o in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Wear gloves for protection.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, garlic powder, and seasoning salt until well blended.
  4. Generously fill each jalape?o half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed jalape?os on the smoker rack or in a grill pan. Smoke for 60-90 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving on a platter.
