Its fluffy texture and golden-brown crust make it an irresistible addition to any meal or gathering. Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110?F)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and sugar; sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter; stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (approximately 1 hour).
  5. Punch down the risen dough; roll it out into a rectangle about half an inch thick. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and chopped rosemary; brush over the dough.
  6. Cut the dough into squares (around 2 inches) and stack them vertically in a greased loaf pan. Let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 375?F.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
