Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup raspberry puree (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200?F (93?C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean mixing bowl, whip the egg whites on medium speed until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in lemon juice and sifted powdered sugar into the meringue mixture.
  4. Using a piping bag, pipe the meringue onto the prepared parchment in heart shapes.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the meringues cool inside with the door slightly ajar.
  6. Once cooled, fill half of each heart with raspberry puree and sandwich them together.
