  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) au jus gravy mix
  • 6 oz pepperoncini peppers (one jar)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Sear the chuck roast in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  3. Transfer the seared roast to a slow cooker. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the meat.
  4. Pour in the jar of pepperoncini peppers along with some juice, and add butter cubes around the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4 hours until fork-tender.
  6. Shred the meat in the slow cooker with two forks and serve over mashed potatoes or pasta.
