- 1 package (16 oz) phyllo dough, thawed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds), chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350?F (175?C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish with melted butter.
- Unroll phyllo dough and cut it into squares to fit the dish. Layer six sheets in the bottom, brushing each with melted butter.
- In a bowl, mix together chopped nuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Spread half of the nut mixture over the layered phyllo. Add more phyllo layers brushed with butter, then top with remaining nut mixture and more phyllo.
- Cut diagonal slits in the top layers for even baking and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle warm honey over baked baklava immediately after removing from the oven.
