Description

Milk Vegetable Gratin is a heartwarming dish that beautifully combines vibrant vegetables and creamy cheese for a comforting experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (zucchini, carrots, broccoli)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375?F (190?C). Lightly grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Chop the mixed vegetables into bite-sized pieces and set them aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in flour to create a roux until golden brown. Gradually add the milk, stirring until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes). Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Layer half of the chopped vegetables in the baking dish and pour half of the creamy sauce over them. Repeat with remaining veggies and sauce. Top with mozzarella and breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
  5. Bake for 30?35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top. Let it cool slightly before serving.
