Description

Chocolate ?clairs are a heavenly indulgence featuring light, airy pastry shells filled with rich cream and topped with a luscious chocolate glaze.   • 1 cup water
  • ? cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ? cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ? cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425?F (220?C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Let the mixture cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until you achieve a smooth dough.
  4. Pipe long strips of dough onto the baking sheets and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While baking, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  6. Once ?clairs are cooled, slice them open and fill with whipped cream, then drizzle melted chocolate mixed with cocoa powder on top.
