Ingredients

1 medium green cabbage (about 2 lbs), chopped

1 lb pork shoulder or belly, cubed

2 medium carrots, sliced

2 medium potatoes, diced

1 large onion, chopped

6 cups chicken or vegetable broth

Salt, pepper, bay leaves, dried thyme


Instructions

Prepare all ingredients by washing and chopping as needed.

In a large pot over medium heat, saut? the cubed pork in olive oil until browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same pot, saut? onions and carrots until softened. Add potatoes and cabbage; cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Return the pork to the pot. Pour in the broth and add seasoning. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer for 1-2 hours.
