- 2 cups fresh carrots, diced
- 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
Instructions
- Wash and peel the carrots, then dice them into small cubes.
- In a pan, heat oil or ghee over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and saut? until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Mix in the diced carrots and saut? for five minutes until they start to soften.
- Add green peas, turmeric powder, salt, and half of the garam masala. Stir well.
- Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for about ten minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Sprinkle remaining garam masala before serving with rice or naan.
