- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400?F (200?C). In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until melted.
- Add flour, stirring quickly until combined. Cook on low heat for about 2 minutes until a dough forms.
- Let cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth.
- Pipe small mounds onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed; avoid opening the oven door during baking.
- Prepare the custard cream by whisking milk, sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch over low heat until thickened. For the sauce, melt chocolate with cream in a double boiler until smooth.
- Slice open each profiterole, fill with custard cream, and drizzle with warm chocolate sauce before serving.
