  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • Optional spices: 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice banana peppers into rings. Wear gloves if sensitive to spice.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine white vinegar, filtered water, sugar, and salt. Stir until dissolved and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Add sliced garlic and any optional spices; simmer for about five minutes.
  4. Pack sterilized jars tightly with banana pepper rings, then pour hot brine over them until fully submerged.
