Description

Boston Cream Poke Cake is an indulgent dessert that harmoniously blends the classic flavors of chocolate and vanilla in a simple, yet elegant poke cake. This moist yellow cake is infused with creamy vanilla pudding and topped with a luscious chocolate ganache, making it perfect for any celebration or as a satisfying sweet treat after dinner. With its rich textures and delightful taste, this cake will surely impress family and friends alike while being incredibly easy to prepare!

Ingredients

Scale

1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups cold milk

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350?F (175?C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Mix the yellow cake mix with eggs, oil, and water as per package instructions, then bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.

In a bowl, whisk together cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until thickened.

Poke holes in the cooled cake using a wooden spoon handle and pour the pudding over it, allowing it to seep in.

Heat heavy whipping cream in a saucepan, add chocolate chips, stir until melted and smooth, then pour over the pudding-filled cake.

Notes

For added flavor, use homemade vanilla pudding instead of instant.

Experiment with different flavored puddings like butterscotch or caramel for unique variations.
